Chateau Ste. Michelle Harvest Select Sweet Riesling

Today I have a quick little wine recommendation for you all. So I read a lot of fantasy novels. Hang with me here this does actually relate to wine. Ok, so in these fantasy novels, particularly those set in middle age-esque settings, characters are often shown drinking some sort of honeyed wine. The Chateau Ste. Michelle Harvest Select Sweet Riesling is exactly what I picture when I read something like that. This wine actually tastes honeyed! Actually the wine has hints of peaches and apricot as well. And while a very sweet wine there is a pleasant crispness that keeps the sweetness from becoming cloying. If you drink rieslings regularly you have probably  had a Chateau Ste. Michelle wine before. At least in my areas they are the most common riesling on menus. And while the Chateau Ste. Michelle wines are of solid quality and pleasant, I have grown a little tired of seeing them on every menu. However Harvest Select is different enough in it’s flavors that it feels really fresh to me. I highly recommend this as an introduction to newer wine drinkers, for those who enjoy a sweeter flavors in their wines or as a desert wine for those who generally prefer dryer wines.
