So as you can gather from reading my article (last post), I really thought there were some holes going on at the Bite of the Rockies food festival. However, I do have to say that the vendor’s portion of the event was really well done! I met and chatted with some really great people. It isn’t necessarily a fit to highlight all of them for The Daily Meal, but I did want to share a few favorites with you here!
I got a chance to chat with two serious go-getters who work do the Pampered Chef Independent Consulting thing. Pampered Chef seems to make some really nice cooking gear… If you need something I’m sure Debbie or Barbara will hook you up!
Styria Bakery had some killer breads!
The very friendly LaShawn, owner of Teas & Quiet, does some great loose leaf tea blends and also glazes gorgeous tea pots and sets by hand! These would make a seriously great gift for a tea lover my friends.
Cream City Market recently came to Denver bringing their home town cheeses and techniques with them!
Los 3Garcias Mexican restaurant has some mighty fine smothered tamales even if they have a silly name.
MMLocal is a harvest share program where they gather up extra produce that doesn’t make it to market from local farms and pickle, juice, and puree it to preserve it for you. The ‘Pearl Street Onions’ are divine.
I was also charmed by Quill Jax, harlequin/clown. Get in touch via email jax@quilline.com, she does birthdays!
And for more birthday fun consider exceptionally talented face painter Faces By Cheryl.
Artist M Fisher did some lovely little nature based paintings and an interesting Kotodama stones installation. Get in touch at mfisherstudio@gmail.com.
Oh I can’t forget A Spice Above, they do nice spice mixes for dips, rubs, seasoning, etc.
Just thought I should get that all out there too!
